Karate

Karate do (KARA-empty, TE- hand & DO-way) is the oldest martial art – human civilization has known and it is one of the most formidable self defence disciplines. Shorin-Ryu and especially Seibukan Karate is a style that originated in Okinawa- Japan and it is neither a "soft" nor a "hard" style. It is powerful and precise; the sports aspects of karate are also taken care in it. There has been no change in this style throughout the centuries. Our style practically follows same way that the old Okinawan karate masters learned and taught.

Karate can be practiced by anyone (She/he, old and young, short and tall, strong and weak and at any age).Everyone feels equal in the Dojo, no one is rejected. The essence of martial arts is that the body and mind should be in a balance to maintain overall health.

Our workouts consist of a good mixture of cardiovascular endurance, strength training and flexibility exercises that are designed to benefit the whole body. During training reinforce the joints, muscles, spine and prevent overloading the joints, because the techniques used are based on natural movements.

Exercises that require maintaining proper posture, repetition of certain movements in a certain sequence, in addition to the appropriate pace and with the right dynamic really develop the ability to concentrate. The well qualified and experienced instructors ensure personalized attention as you progress from each KYU/DAN (grade)

A truly dedicated and traditional karateka will become perfect in the eight virtues, such as

  • Politeness
  • Discipline
  • Vigilance
  • Inner Strength
  • Physical Strength
  • Self Defense
  • Mental Strength
  • Loyalty
